We’ve been thrilled to see how HR teams from all over the world utilize EditMate to produce Employer Brand Videos so today we wanted to share a Case Study from one of our favorite clients, Fletcher Building.
Employer brand videos are an integral tool for humanizing an organization and helping companies attract the best talent.
And Employer Brand content created with employee-generated footage (videos featuring and filmed by real employees) has quickly become the most effective and authentic way to produce this type of video.
Employee-generated videos not only amplify your team’s real voices but they’re also a fun and creative way for HR teams to create recruitment, DEI, employee engagement, and internal communications content.
Case Study: How Fletcher Building Used EditMate to Produce Employer Brand Videos
With a market cap of nearly $4 billion NZD and more than 14,000 employees globally, Fletcher Building is Australasia’s largest building materials supplier.
With over 30 different business units within the organization, Talent Acquisitions Corporate Manager Mereula Nacewa was tasked with the job of creating over-arching Employment Brand videos that any of Fletcher Building’s Talent Acquisitions teams could use, to show off the wide variety of roles, teams, and business units.
A part of this video series was also part of the company’s wider Inclusion & Diversity initiative, to attract more women to apply to Operations roles.
Working with EditMate, Mereula filmed video clips with her iPhone, collected informal interview videos from employees on-site, and re-purposed b-roll from existing content.
All of this content landed in her projects on the EditMate Dashboard, where Mereula could review, rate, and comment on the clips submitted — giving her full creative control and ensuring that the video message would align with her employer brand goals.
Once she had all the assets she needed, Mereula clicked the “Request an Editor” button, a Professional Video Editor from the EditMate team was assigned to her project and turned around a first draft within 48 hours.
After reviewing drafts, sending feedback, and communicating with her Editor and Project Manager on the Dashboard, Mereula had a series of videos ready to share on Fletcher’s Career Pages, LinkedIn, and other social channels.
She produced these videos with Fletcher’s Annual Package, making the budgeting for these projects simple and straightforward.
