We just started a new tradition at EditMate: editing a video mix at the end of each quarter to recap a few of our favorite projects.
Here’s 2018’s Q1:
To give our blog readers an inside look into how brands use EditMate, we’re going to break down this Video Mix and provide details on 3 of the projects featured.
We’ll share what original assets were provided and how the brand used EditMate to create a polished, professional video from raw, user-generated footage.
Here we go!
Hoffr’s Brand Awareness and Seller Video
Hoffr is a mobile real estate app in the UK that provides a private sales and lettings marketplace. It’s a new start-up that needed to create multiple pieces of video content to boost brand awareness.
Since they’re brand new, they only had images of their app screens, brand guidelines (logos, fonts, and colors) and rough scripts to work with. They kicked off the project by uploading those assets and worked with an EditMate Project Manager to flesh out the rest.
The Project Manager sourced stock footage, royalty-free music and a British voiceover. From there, an EditMate Editor was assigned to the project and cut together a series of videos formatted for sharing on social media. Here’s one introducing the Hoffr brand:
Grit ‘N Wit University Promo Videos
Grit ‘N Wit is an event that challenges its participants with both physical obstacles and mental puzzles. Their team needed to create promotional videos customized for every University hosting a Grit ‘N Wit event this year, all across the USA.
They kicked off their project by uploading all of their old videos, raw footage from last year’s events and their brand guidelines.
An EditMate Editor was assigned to the project and cut together dozens of videos, each customized for an upcoming event at a University. Here’s one for Villanova:
StudentCard Remarketing + Landing Page Videos
StudentCard is a discount card in New Zealand that saves students money by providing discounts on everything they need: food, entertainment, travel and more.
The StudentCard Marketing Team needed to create a series of videos for their Facebook ad strategy and their landing page.
They kicked off the project by uploading crowdsourced footage from their team of interns. An EditMate Project Manager sourced additional assets like stock photos, royalty free music and a Kiwi VO.
From there, an EditMate Editor was assigned to the project and cut together videos like this one:
