So creating them is currently an excellent growth hack. Reels are now an easy way to get more views and engagement.
In fact, while researching this post, as an experiment, I created and shared a Reel to my personal Instagram account and it received more than 3x the number of likes and 20x the amount of views a typical post of mine would get.
Sharing a Reel will truly result in more people seeing your content than any other type of Instagram post right now.
If your business wants more eyeballs on its videos, here are 5 tips for creating and sharing Instagram Reels:
1. CREATE REELS THAT ARE EDUCATIONAL OR ENTERTAINING
Skip the sales-y video content and teach, inspire or make your audience laugh with your Reels.
2. GO BEHIND THE SCENES
Sharing behind-the-scenes content of your business with Reels is a perfect way to build genuine relationships with your followers and strengthen your social community.
Consider featuring your teammates, sharing your product development process, or showing off your company culture with a Reel.
And since Reels are only 30-seconds max you don’t need to plan and storyboard an elaborate video. A fast, fun montage set to music with a few special effects is all you need.
3. RE-PURPOSE USER-GENERATED CONTENT TO SHOW SOCIAL PROOF
Speaking of fast, fun montages… Reels are a perfect medium for a collection of user-generated content crowdsourced from your customers.
